Simply snaps... Precious Materials exhibition

Some snaps arrived in my inbox from the Precious Materials exhibition over the last couple of days.  The exhibition, still on show at Gaffa in the Keeper Gallery, "...celebrates the use of textiles in the creation of extraordinary adornments", featuring eight designers, makers and/or crafters, including myself.

I submitted six new Simply Camille fabric necklace-wrap pieces, using a mix of heavily textured fabrics in a palette of black-on-black with a splash of metallic silver, named in variations of "Textured Polka" and "Textured Metal". You can see them on the far wall in the snap above, and in the next couple of pics below.  I'll post some more detailed snaps of my own in the next couple of days.  I love the look of all the other works too, a few of which are pictured below. I'm going to find out what's sold and try and snap up a couple for myself!  I've included links and any details I know regarding materials etc.  Will update as I find out more.

If you're in Sydney between now and April 6th, and would like to check out the exhibition for yourself, drop into Gaffa at 281 Clarence Street, Sydney CBD (Next to Town Hall Station).

Must go get some sleep now.  Playing catch up is tiring me out!

Simply yours,
Phoebe
