Simply stoked... about good news x 2!

Black & White Stripe - Graduated

My email inbox greeted me with some very exciting news this morning - I've been accepted into the Finders Keepers markets in Brisbane!

I've been a big fan of Finders Keepers since going to one of their early markets in Sydney last year, when it was still in a small bar/ restaurant space in a terrace house in Surry Hills. Since then it's moved on to much bigger and better things, with the last event held at CarriageWorks, an amazing contemporary art and performance space in Redfern Waterloo. The move to a bigger space certainly paid off. We popped in on the Saturday night, which was certainly busy and buzzing enough, but friends who were there on the Friday night said it was insane. The format of holding it during the evening as well as daytime is genius, particularly when you mix in bands and a bar!

It goes without saying that I am completely stoked about being accepted into such a great event amongst such amazing other designers. I just hope I can live up to the high standard! Aah, nothing like a bit of a challenge and deadline to get you going. Time to ramp things up a notch I think.

In other related news, I also received an email yesterday from The Rocks Markets to say I had progressed to the next step in their applications process. I'm aiming to sell my Simply Phoebe accessories, like the Simply Camille necklaces and some other new designs I am working on, alongside my aunt's summer fashion range and some prints of my Dad's charcoal art.

The timing is perfect as I head into a few days of "creative time". Now I can't wait to get off this computer and get making! I'll leave you with a few more pieces of some of my new black and white stripe Simply Camille pieces. Once again, a few of these images are of the one piece, just styled in different ways.
